I have been putting off doing my pantry for weeks so today I decided it was time to do it. It's not perfect and not as organised as other parts of my house but a big improvement.

Using a planer

I have found one thing that really helps with staying organising is I have started using a
organiser/planner
to keep track of things. I looked at lots and none were really
just what i needed and somewhere very expansive. I decided to make my own I started with a
cheep folder
and some dividers I printed out a calendar and stuck inside the front cover.

The first section is generally organising things like appointments  jobs to do calls to make emails
to send.
I found a A4 pad of to do this week lists in a £shop so that's what i use in that section
In the next section I have cleaning lists daily weekly monthly so I can keep on top of things and
as as each part of the house is sorted and organised it stays that way.
Next is meal planning and shopping this helps with budgeting. I have a weekly list of meals for each day and a shopping list where i can add what i need to buy. I also keep a list of what is in the freezer to help with meal planning.
Then I have a section for budgeting I picked up a budget planer for £2.50 so use that instead of printing off sheets I also have a pocket for putting bills and one for keeping money off coupons.

In the back I just have a not book  I can use for anything i might need.

Monday updates

Ok so I think each week on a Monday i will do an update on how things are going as well as posts in the week on different subjects. Monday is my weigh in day I am doing weight watchers online and do find it good but I did have a bad week last week and put on 1lb so starting fresh today and hoping for a better week. Last week was not too bad  for work and I spent a lot of yesterday working on a few things to hopefully help bring in more sales. At home my jobs for this week are to catch up on a few things that slipped and the big job is sorting the cupboard under the stairs that is my pantry.

Hellow from Mrs D

Hi I am Mrs D i see lots of blogs from mums with lifestyle cleaning organising shopping cooking and similar. I do enjoy them but my days of being a mum to young children are long gone. I started thinking  what about life of mums of older children/grans. I do have experience of many of the things the other mums are going through as I have been there done that. My baby girls are now 26 and 28 and have their own babies. I do still have some of the things other mums experience as I have my youngest granddaughter a couple of days a week and my other two grandchildren are often her  and so a few meals a week include feeding children. My house is cluttered with toys children are included in our family holiday. My life also includes being a wife running a business from home and desperately trying to declutter and organise my home. I am 52 and I am a qualified chef and have done all sorts of catering related jobs over the years including owning a large family pub restaurant. I have been married for 10 years to my second husband. I have been through all different situations in my life at one time I went from owning a business being married to my first husband  who add a good job and having income from a house we rented out to being a single mum on benefits than a working single mum. I gave Up my last job about 5 years ago because of a mix of being very unhappy and some health issues. I am now self employed and work from home. This year is the year I am trying to make changes improvements in my life in lots of ways. I am facing up to and dealing with some health problems I am working on improving my business i am trying to lose weight and I am sorting organising my home. I am trying to rediscover the good bits of the old me that have not been around a lot lately and I am finding out about the new me. I would love you to join my on the ups and downs of my many journeys.
